Jul 24th
On July 10th 2011, Boston Sass Attack and friends did what we do best…sassed it up for social justice!!! Lyrics here!! Song here!!
The balloons got stuck in the 16th story skylights!! That manager looks grumpy about it…Well, perhaps if you treated your workers better, you wouldn’t have this problem! The sign reads “BAD 2 WORKERS” and “BOYCOTT HYATT” on the opposite side.

Sneaky Flashmob Leaves Banner for Workers’ Rights in Cambridge Hyatt’s Skylights
Jul 11th
On Sunday, July 10th, Boston Sass Attack Radical Cheerleaders and friends performed our dance to “Workin’ People” song, our parody of Beyonce’s “Single Ladies”, in solidarity with the Hyatt cleaning staff who were abrutly fired in Fall 2009 and replaced with workers at a measly minimum wage! We demand justice!!
We also released 3 dozen “happy birthday” balloons into the 16-story atrium, which landed smack-dab in their skylights, hanging the message “BAD 2 WORKERS” on one side and “BOYCOTT HYATT” on the other!!
YouTube video of the whole thing coming in the next day or two! Stay tuned!
Check out the first Hyatt flashmob in June 2010!! Nearly 3,000 YouTube views!
Boston Sass Attack takes on Stop & Shop and Trader Joes for Farmworker Justice
May 26th
Visit ciw-online.org for more! Boston Sass Attack and friends takes on Stop and Shop as well as Trader Joes with their new cheer in support of the Coalition Of Immokalee Workers’ Fair Food Campaign to the tune of “Hit Me Baby One More Time”. Neither Stop and Shop, whose parent company Ahold is based in Quincy, MA, nor Trader Joes are being responsible stores by agreeing to leverage their purchasing power and stop slavery and abuse in their tomato supply chain. They need to do the right thing, and sign on immediately!
5/22 Flashmob for Coalition of Immokalee Workers!!
May 8th
When Boston Sass Attack leads a flash mob, it’s not to publicize Wells Fargo (barf)…we and our friends STAND UP IN SOLIDARITY AGAINST OPPRESSION!
Early last June, we took it to the Hyatt in solidarity with the boycott related to absurd firing of hardworking employees, most of whom were women of color, to be replaced by their trainees at half the wage. About 30 folks helped create, disseminate and dance our “Working People” take on Beyonce’s “Single Ladies”!
THIS MAY the SASS IS BACK! And we need YOU! The Coalition of Immokalee Workers (CIW) down in Immokalee, Florida led an impressive march in the freezing cold Boston weather this spring attended by thousands. They’re calling on Stop and Shop to negotiate with the workers and provide 1 penny more per pound of tomatoes picked by these workers. The CIW has had impressive victories in the past organizing around major fast food chains– here’s a great opportunity to tell Stop and Shop to BE A GOOD STORE!
We re-wrote Britney Spear’s Hit Me Baby One More Time, choreographed a hot, simple dance, and we wanna teach it to you and your friends!!! Here’s the facebook event
Wanna see the cheer? Here it is! Scroll to 5min30sec.

Chorus:
Hey Mass, let’s not be another fascist state,
no one is illegal; solidarity, not hate!
we are unemployed because of wall street greed,
deportations are the last thing we need!

Living wages, healthcare, housing and food,
if we sign onto S Comm, we are all screwed!

Bullyproof after Radical Hanukkah!
Dec 6th
So, this past Thursday Sassidarity, Might Sass and Sassyklass tore up the stage at All Asia for a Radical Hanukkah party! We loved it when so many awesome sassy people from Workmen’s Circle joined us on stage to recreate the Hyatt Boycott dance,
“All the Workin’ People!”
On Saturday, we tried to all make it down to Framingham High School to share our Bullyproof cheer with the Fred Phelps/Westboro Baptist Church counterprotest, but he didn’t go (and we got a bit lost on the way, oops!)…
Hopefully our “Bullyproof” song will inspire others for the next crappy picket the WBC does!
